Chocolate Banana Coconut Smoothie (dairy and refined sugar free)


A couple of weeks ago we discovered that Lyla was having a reaction to dairy that was causing her to have an upset stomach etc. That means that I am not having any dairy for a while which to be honest is pretty hard for me. Yogurt and cheese are some of my go to snacks and it has made me realize how much dairy I put in things. I was desiring something cold like icecream so I decided to try to make a smoothie. I love chocolate and banana together so I thought I would try those two ingredients. I have to say I created a wonderful snack/treat that has made going off dairy much easier. Hope you enjoy.


Chocolate Banana Coconut Smoothie


1 cup coconut milk (my guess is you could use normal milk if you wanted)


2 frozen ripe bananas


2 tsp of cocoa powder


1 tsp vanilla


a drizzle of honey


Sometimes I add protien powder if I need some protien for the day


This serves 2 small portions or one really big smoothie. Adam and I usually split it.
