As I explained in the about me section of my blog, I have always liked photography and I want to take some steps this year to improve my photography and just use my camera more. After reading about the idea of taking a photo everyday on a couple of different blogs I decided I would try it this year. One of the blogs I follow Girltalk has been doing this for the past year. You can check it out here. She calls it 52home. One of the other blogs I follow also does a similiar thing called one frame a day. Her post on one frame a day inspired me to try it this year. I thought it would be a great way to get behind my camera everyday and now that I have a beautiful baby to capture, I liked her idea creating a book at the end of the year of all of our photos as a way of documenting our year.
So this is my goal for the year. To take a photo everyday and post it here on my blog. My fear when I first heard of this idea is that I wouldn't be able to keep up and just stop. So I've decided that this project will be full of grace and while the goal will be to post a picture everyday, I'm allow myself the grace to miss some days and just pick up where I left off. I will be thankful for whatever I have at the end of the year and I'm sure I'll be grateful that I kept going even if I don't have 365 photos.
Because I couldn't think of a more creative title, I'm kind of copying what girltalk does by naming this project 365home.
I hope you enjoy following the moments I capture this year. Here is my first photo of the year.
Lyla after her bath.
BTW, Lyla is beautiful and I wish I could just squeeze her!
ReplyDeleteYeah! I'm so glad you are blogging and it will be nice to keep up with you this way! : ) I've thought about doing the picture a day for a year, but have never actually started it. I might have to try to do it too! Miss you dear friend! : )
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling I'm really going to love your blog! :) Adam told me about it and I'm so glad he did. I did this exact project in 2007. I am so glad I did it, but by the end of the year I was VERY glad it was over! haha! You'll love having all those pictures especially since Lyla will be changing so much this year.I'm hosting a photography project on my blog called "A Day in the Life of..." I would love for you to join me if you are interested. It is 1 picture every hour for 1 day. You can read about it here: http://ow.ly/3xkJEI'm looking forward to seeing more of your photographs!
